Abstract

C22-CuI complex , has been reported as a highly-active, efficient catalyst based on copper(I),for the synthesis of diorganyl- monochalcogenides. In addition to thermal- and air-stability, facile preparation of this homogeneous copper(I) catalyst, the corresponding products obtained in good to excellent yields and with the short reaction times. Remarkably, it was observed that diaryl/dialkyl dichalcogenides could be successfully cross-coupled with electronically and sterically diverse arylboronic acids.

Keywords: Diorganyl chalcogenides; cross-coupling; homogeneous catalyst; aryl boronic acids
