Preprint Policy

Our policy (and the policy of all preprint servers) is to only retract preprints in cases where legal or copyright infringement or other considerable scientific misconduct or offensive behavior has been raised. Thus, once posted, the preprint cannot be removed from the Beilstein Archives, even if it is finally rejected for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.

The submitting author must provide a verified ORCID iD in order to publish a preprint. Co-authors are highly encouraged to add theirs as well.

Any supporting information files will appear on the final preprint publication page, unedited and in the format the authors have provided.

All preprints undergo a basic screening process for offensive and/or non-scientific content and are checked for plagiarism and scope.

The Beilstein Archives reserves the right to correct technical errors in the document before publication.

If you have further questions or hesitations regarding preprints, please contact the Beilstein Archives Managing Editor .
