This thematic issue is dedicated to the 7th International Symposium on Synthesis and Catalysis (ISySyCat 2027).

The goal is to highlight advances in contemporary organic, organometallic, polymer, and materials synthesis, with a particular emphasis on catalysis and emerging AI-driven approaches. Contributions of interest span fundamental and applied research relevant to both academic and industrial chemists.

We welcome submissions focused on catalytic chemical synthesis, including work that integrates enabling technologies such as continuous-flow methods, photoredox catalysis, and electrosynthesis. Given the growing impact of artificial intelligence in chemical research, contributions addressing AI-assisted synthesis, synthetic-route prediction, and catalyst design are especially encouraged.

Submission is open to all symposium participants and their co-authors.

Submission deadline: January 15, 2028
